Holiday Travelers Benefit As Gas Prices Continue To Fall

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose two-tenths of a cent today to $3.219, the ninth consecutive day it has changed by two-tenths of a cent or less.

The average price is four-tenths of a cent less than one week ago and 57.2 cents lower than one year ago but nine-tenths of a cent more than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has decreased 39.6 cents since the start of the year. It was unchanged on Sunday.

The Orange County average price dropped one-tenth of a cent to $3.189, the fifth consecutive day it has changed by one-tenth of a cent or been unchanged. It is nine-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, six-tenths of a cent lower than one month ago and 56.4 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price has decreased 35.6 cents since the start of the year. It rose one-tenth of a cent on Sunday.
