Two LA County Sheriff's Department deputies were shot in Compton over the weekend.
The department says that one of the deputies, only identified as a 31-year-old mother of a 6-year-old boy, was shot in the jaw and arms and is currently in stable condition.
The other deputy, a 24-year-old man, was struck in the forehead, arm and hand and is described as being alert.
No other details have been released to the public, but both deputies were sworn in 14 months ago.
The shooter is still at large and a $100,000 reward has been offered to find him.
Steve Gregory has been covering this story and joined Handel this morning to discuss the details.
