LA County Bans Trick-Or-Treating This Year as a COVID Precaution

Halloween is cancelled!

Kind of...

Los Angeles County has banned door-to-door trick-or-treating as precaution to stop potential coronavirus spread this Halloween.

In new guidelines released on Tuesday, LA County's Department of Public Health said:

"It can be very difficult to maintain proper social distancing on porches and at front doors especially in neighborhoods that are popular with trick or treaters.”

Carnivals, large gatherings, festivals, and haunted house attractions are also not permitted.

Instead, the county suggests online events, decorating your home with Halloween material, and other safer activities to prevent COVID-19 exposure.
