Little Change to Average Southland Gas Prices

Holiday Travelers Benefit As Gas Prices Continue To Fall

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped three-tenths of a cent today to $3.227, one day after rising three-tenths of a cent.

The average price is one-tenth of a cent more than a week ago and 3.8 cents higher than one month ago but 45.3 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 38.8 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $3.203, one day after rising one-tenth of a cent. It is three-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 2.9 cents higher than one month ago but 45.7 cents less than one year ago. It has decreased 34.2 cents since the start of the year.
