LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust announced today that it is changing its name to Holocaust Museum Los Angeles.
“Holocaust Museum Los Angeles is a subtle, simple and powerful way of pivoting from being Los Angeles-centric to Holocaust education for the city to additionally expand to the rest of the the world,'' said museum CEO Beth Kean. “One of our most important missions is to educate the next generations -- not just teach but inspire students to take action.''
The museum said in a statement that, pre-pandemic, more than 20,000 students a year visited the facility at 100 The Grove Drive in Los Angeles to learn about the Holocaust and meet with survivors. The museum now conducts its education programs virtually.
