Average L.A. County Gas Price Rises to Highest Amount Since March 25

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose four-tenths of a cent today to $3.214, one day after increasing three-tenths of a cent.

The average price is at its highest amount since March 25, eight-tenths of a cent more than a week ago and 4.9 cents higher than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 35.7 cents less than one year ago and has decreased 40.1 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose a half-cent to $3.196 after dropping three-tenths of a cent for two consecutive days. It is one-tenth of a cent more  than one week ago and 4.1 cents higher than one month ago but 34.9 cents less than one year ago. It has also decreased 34.9 cents since the start of the year.
