Hasbro Pulls Trolls Doll Over Complaints it Promotes Child Abuse

Hasbro has pulled a Troll doll after parents complained it promotes child abuse.

An online petition brought widespread attention to the toy-maker after a video of a mother showing the “Trolls World Tour Giggle and Sing Poppy” revealed the doll has a button located where the genitals would be.

She says the feature was not noted any where on the toy’s packaging and when you push the button the doll gasps and giggles.

Hasbro spokeswoman Julie Duffy admitted that the button’s placement, “may be perceived as inappropriate” but wasn’t intentional.

The company says it is pulling the “Giggle and Sing Poppy” Troll doll from retailers shelves and will replace it with another “Poppy” doll instead.
