@DarkSecretPlace - Steve Gregory Reports Live from the Beaumont Fires

KFI AM640's Steve Gregory recently joined Super Hyper Local Sunday w/ Bryan Suits, reporting live from the fire in Beaumont. The fire, only 5% contained as of Sunday night, has burned for three days, charring over 32 square miles (20,516 acres), destroying at least one home, as well as two outhouses. The fire is expected to grow significantly overnight.

The smoke from the fire has been so thick, that it has prevented airplanes, armed with infrared imaging, from getting an accurate view of the scale of the damage. "They were relying on (infrared) satellite imagery," reported Gregory.

There is additional concern for buildings in the area. According to Gregory, "Pockets of homes, cabins, and summer camps," within the canyons are in danger, as well as power lines, and radio towers.
