One Killed, Others Wounded in Burbank Shooting

BURBANK (CNS) - Two men were killed and a woman was injured in a shooting at a home in Burbank this morning.

Officers responded to a call of at least one gunshot heard in the 900 block of Cambridge Drive, near Bel Aire Drive, about 1:30 a.m. and “located more than one person suffering from a gunshot wound,'' according to Sgt. Derek Green of the Burbank Police Department.

Two men died at the scene and the woman was taken to a hospital in critical condition, Green said.

“Detectives are on scene, this is a very complex scene,'' Green told CBS2. “We are trying to, obviously, determine the circumstances that led up to this shooting, what the motive might have been and exactly what the association is of the people that are involved.''

A weapon was recovered at the scene.

“Right now, we don't believe that we have any suspects outstanding, but we are certainly not ruling that out,'' Green told NBC4. “As a matter of safety we are exploring all of our avenues right now trying to determine who might have been involved, if anybody, additionally ... in this incident.''

Police have not determined if the shooting was a murder-suicide.

Three children were inside the home at the time of the shooting and are in protective custody this morning.
