Average L.A. County Gas Price Rises For 12th Time in 13 Days

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the 12th time in 13 days, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.127, its highest amount since March 29.

The average price has risen 4.9 cents over the past 13 days, including three-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 2.9 cents more than a week ago and 10.2 cents higher than one month ago but 64.4 cents less than one year ago. It has decreased 48.8 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose for the 13th time in 15 days, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.109, its highest amount since March 28. It has increased 5.4 cents over the past 15 days, including three-tenths of a cent on Tuesday.

The Orange County average price is 2.5 cents more than one week ago and 12 cents higher than one month ago but 61.8 cents less than one year ago. It has decreased 44.5 cents since the start of the year.
