Chargers Safety Suspended For Violating NFL Drug Policy

Los Angeles Chargers v Chicago Bears

COSTA MESA (CNS) - Los Angeles Chargers safety Roderic Teamer has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2020 regular season for violating the NFL policy on substances of abuse, the league announced today.

Teamer is eligible to participate in all preseason practices and games. He will be allowed to return to the Chargers' active roster on Oct. 5, a day after the Week 4 game at Tampa Bay.

Teamer made the Chargers as an undrafted rookie out of Tulane last season. He started six games and appeared in a seventh, making 39 tackles, 30 solo, and a quarterback sack. He made one interception and broke up two passes.
