Little Change to Average L.A., Orange County Gas Prices

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent today to $3.073, the fourth consecutive day it has changed by two-tenths of a cent or less.

The average price was unchanged Friday, ending a run of 36 increases in 38 days totaling 19.7 cents, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose two-tenths of a cent on Saturday and dropped two-tenths of a cent on Sunday.

The average price is 1.1 cents more than a week ago and 13.3 cents higher than a month ago but 68.6 cents less than one year ago. It has decreased 54.2 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $3.059, also the fourth consecutive day it has changed by two-tenths of a cent or less.It was unchanged Friday, after 48 increases in 51 days totaling 28.7 cents, rose two-tenths of a cent on Saturday and dropped one-tenth of a cent on Sunday.

The Orange County average price is 2.1 cents more than one week ago and 15.7 cents higher than one month ago but 65.5 cents less than one year ago. It has decreased 48.6 cents since the start of the year.
