LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average prices of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles and Orange counties were unchanged today after weeks of almost uninterrupted increases.
The Los Angeles County average price had risen 36 of the previous 38 days to $3.072, its highest amount since April 2, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The Orange County average price had increased 48 times in 51 days to $3.057, its highest amount since April 1.
The Los Angeles County average price is 2.4 cents more than a week ago and 14.8 cents higher than a month ago but 65.6 cents less than one year ago. It has decreased 54.3 cents since the start of the year.
The Orange County average price is 3.3 cents more than one week ago and 16.4 cents higher than one month ago but 62.1 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped 48.8 cents since the start of the year.
