One of the world’s most popular games, has reportedly removed police cars in its latest version coincidentally as protests against police brutality have broken out across the United States.
Fortnite players all of the world are reporting they've noticed that all the police vehicles have suddenly disappeared in the newest season of the game.
The game's developer, Epic Games, regularly releases new seasons of the game to keep it fresh and the latest one rolled out last week after being delayed because of the protests over George Floyd’s death.
In a June 3rd blog post, Epic Games wrote:
“Recent events are a heavy reminder of ongoing injustices in society, from the denial of basic human rights to the impact of racism both overt and subtle against people of color. The team is eager to move Fortnite forward, but we need to balance the Season 3 launch with time for the team to focus on themselves, their families, and their communities.”
Epic Games has yet to respond to the change.
