Health Officials Issue New Guidelines For Safe Sex Amid COVID-19

New York City health officials are still working out the kinks, LITERALLY, for new guidelines couples should follow regarding sex amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier this week, they updated their guidance and basically told couples to say goodbye to their boring bedroom behavior.

“Make it a little kinky,” the Health Department advisory recommends. “Be creative with sexual positions and physical barriers, like walls, that allow sexual contact while preventing close face to face contact.”

BUT, they suggest that couples also use a face mask during sex.

“During COVID-19 wearing a face covering that covers your nose and mouth is a good way to add a layer of protection during sex.” according to the agency.

For couples, who like to gather for group sex. Officials recommend using large, open, and ventilated spaces. For extra precaution, they suggest bringing hand sanitizer

They always warn couples of kissing and having in-person dates. The safest type of sex currently is masturbation. If you prefer other people around, they believe humans should really take advantage of video dates.

“Video dates, sexting, subscription-based fan platforms, sexy ‘Zoom parties’ or chat rooms may be options for you,” the guide says.

Moral of the story: STAY SAFE!
