Man in Wheelchair Shot in North Hollywood

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - Los Angeles Police Department homicide detectives today asked the public to provide leads in the shooting death of a wheelchair-bound man in North Hollywood.

North Hollywood resident Isauro Birrueta, 26, was found at 11 p.m. Friday in the 11700 block of Runnymede Street unresponsive in the street, sitting in his wheelchair, police said. He had multiple gunshot wounds.

The investigation revealed that a vehicle moving west on Runnymede Street appeared to stop mid-block and multiple gunshots were heard, police said. Detectives canvassed the area for surveillance video, witnesses and other evidence.
