It might not make you the most fashionable person at the event, but a new protective concert suit designed by a California firm says it can keep you safe at live shows in the future. Resembling a cross between the Hazmat suits worn in "Outbreak" and Mr. Freeze's outfit in "Batman and Robin," the Micrashell features a space age helmet, its own filtration system, and even LED accent lights.
"Micrashell is a solution for bringing people together safely," says Miguel Risueno, head of inventions at the Production Club in California. "It's a half suit that kind of takes your safety and your security in terms of being close to airborne particles or viruses to the next level."
"With our solution we are trying to make space available for everyone because our solution depends on your own footprint rather than distancing yourself," he added.
So far, the Production Club has only made a prototype of the Micrashell. And there's no word on how much it's expected to retail for... Would you wear one to the club?! It's not for everyone... Take a listen below:
