Man Gouges Out Neighbor's Eyes Because of His Loud Rooster

A West Virginia man is accused of killing his 72-year-old neighbor after an argument over a loud rooster.

Richard Ellison is facing a murder charge after he was allegedly angry at neighbor Benny Foutch's rooster being too loud

According to Mercer County Sheriff's Detective M.S. Horn, the murder was pretty gruesome:

"He went up there and killed the rooster first and then he killed the deceased. The gouging out of his eyes appeared to be his cause of death."

When detectives interviewed Ellison, he told them "Lucifer made him do it."

He's being held on $200,000 bail after being arraigned via videoconference
