Average L.A. County Gas Price Unchanged

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged today, remaining at $2.859 after rising six of the past seven days.

The average price is 3.4 cents more than a week ago but 9.1 cents less than a month ago and $1.212 lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 75.8 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose for the eighth consecutive day, increasing a half-cent to $2.814. It has risen 4.4 cents over the past eight days, including two-tenths of a cent on both Monday and Tuesday, after dropping on 68 of the previous 70 days to its lowest amount since Dec. 28, 2016, decreasing 74.9 cents.

The Orange County average price is 4 cents more than one week ago but 10.9 cents less than one month ago and $1.23 lower than one year ago. It has dropped 73.1 cents since the start of the year.
