Lawmaker Opposes Wearing Face Masks Because it Covers "The Image of God"

An Ohio state lawmaker says he won't wear a mask during the pandemic as it covers the face, which is the "likeness of God."

Nino Vitale, who serves in the Ohio state House of Representatives, made his declaration after Governor Mike DeWine initially ordered masks to be worn, but then backpedaled.

DeWine says he trimmed back the order because having people wear them would be "offensive"

And apparently he was right, at least with Vitale who wrote on Facebook:

“This is the greatest nation on earth founded on Judeo-Christian Principles. One of those principles is that we are all created in the image and likeness of God. That image is seen the most by our face. I will not wear a mask.”
