Airline Seat Manufacturer Proposes New Design for Coronavirus Era

An Italian aircraft seat manufacturer has released proposed new designs to promote physical distancing while traveling.

Aviointeriors revealed two different designs...one named Janus that has the middle seat turned around, surrounded by a plastic barriers on each side and Glassafe that has transparent shields around the upper body of the traveler.

Glassafe is the least invasive of the designs as airlines would get to decide if they want to install the shields on their own seats and still allows accessibility to tray tables and chargers.

Janus allows all three passengers in the row to have their own space, even from people coming down the aisle.
