Sadly, we have lost another legend from the ‘Carol Burnett Show’ this week.

Roger Beatty, the director and writer of the show, passed away at the age of 87 last week at his Palm Desert home. Roger was my dad's best friend. A very sweet man that we will dearly miss.

Born in Los Angeles and raised in Eagle Rock, Beatty served three years in the U.S. Coast Guard before jumping into show business.

He won five Emmy awards for his time on the ‘Carol Burnett Show’. Some of his other work included "Bing Crosby Show", "The Red Skelton Show" and "The Danny Kaye Show,".

Working on the show was a dream for him as he directed alongside his childhood friend Dave Powers.

To honor him, we are attaching some of favorite memories from ‘Carol Burnett Show’. Your work will always be honored.

We spoke with one of Roger's wonderful daughters, Karen Beatty (who is like a sister to me) to talk about her wonderful dad and his legacy. Please take a moment to listen to the interview below.
