SNL Returns With Homemade Skits

"Saturday Night Live" returned from its pre-lockdown hiatus this weekend with a homemade edition of its show.

Tom Hanks opened the show from his kitchen....

And the cast offered up skits like Pete Davidson rapping "Drake Song" a track playing off his music...

Kate McKinnon brought back her iconic Ruth Bader Ginsburg impersonation for “Working Out at Home With RBG."

Larry David returned as Senator Bernie Sanders, answering questions about his campaign after Sanders quit the presidential race.

Weekend Update hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che gave the at-home version of the segment.

Musical guest, Coldplay singer Chris Martin sang a cover of Bob Dylan’s "Shelter From the Storm" from a home studio.

The episode ended with the cast and crew saying goodbye to music producer Hal Willner, who passed away last week from complications potentially due to COVID-19.

Willner was responsible for a lot of the music scoring and production on "SNL."
