BURBANK (CNS) - A fire damaged an electrical facility in Burbank today, but no one was hurt.
The fire was reported shortly before noon at the Lincoln Switching Station in the 1800 block of North Lincoln Street, said Burbank police Sgt. Derek Green.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, and nearby Pacific Avenue and Monterey Avenue were closed in the area as a precaution. Access to some residential streets off of Victory Boulevard was limited or closed, police said.
Some power was reportedly interrupted in the aftermath of the fire, but there was no widespread outage, Green said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
