Two of President Donald Trump's top advisers reportedly tangled over the efficacy of a potential COVID-19 drug.
CNBC reports the spar occurred Saturday in the White House situation room - and centered on hydroxychloroquine. Dr. Anthony Fauci says the research is anecdotal while Trade Adviser Peter Navarro contended that the research was "science, not anecdot."
Navarro later told CNN's John Berman that he's qualified to disagree with Dr. Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, because "I'm a social scientist, Ph.D... I understand how to read statistical studies, whether it's in medicine, the law, economics or whatever."
Navarro says doctors disagree all the time and added that the ability to disagree within Trump's administration actually makes it stronger.
