The hoarding of groceries and toiletries has been abundant during the current pandemic.
So it's weird to think the the United States has an abundance of one item...

Apparently, the meat industry had stocked up because it was expecting to ship a lot of them to restaurants in time for March Madness.
But with the NCAA tournament and other major sporting events having been cancelled thanks to the coronavirus, retailers aren't sure what to do.
They can't sell them to retailers because of packaging issues so the industry is left with the large stockpiles.
