LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The Major League Baseball season may be on hold, but there's good news today for Dodger fans who haven't been able to watch the team on television in their homes.
Spectrum announced Wednesday it has reached an agreement with AT&T for the SportsNet LA channel -- the home of most Dodger game telecasts -- to be carried on AT&T services, such as DirecTV.
SportsNet LA has been restricted largely to Spectrum cable for the past seven years, leaving Dodger fans who have other television services in the cold. The exclusive Spectrum deal also left many sports bars and restaurants -- many of whom have DirecTV -- unable to show Dodger games.
Under the agreement announced Wednesday, SportsNet LA will now be available on DirecTV, U-Verse, AT&T TV and AT&T Now in Southern California, Las Vegas and Hawaii.
The channel was made available on the services immediately -- but it's still unclear when the Dodgers will actually begin their season.
