The coronavirus outbreak has impacted many industries and businesses, including the performing arts.
The Michael Jackson estate has announced they will donate $300,000 to help Broadway workers, the music industry, and Las Vegas employees.
The donations will apportioned as follows:
$100,000 to Broadway Cares
$100,000 to MusiCares
$100,000 to the Three Square food bank in Nevada.
Las Vegas has been the home of the Cirque du Soleil show Michael Jackson ONE for some time.
There is a Broadway production called MJ The Musical scheduled for previews in July, although that may well be postponed.
A spokesperson for the estate said that they are making the donations to honor the many charitable works that Jackson himself engaged in.
