STEVENSON RANCH (CNS) - A 19-year-old man suspected of shooting and wounding a woman during a robbery in the driveway of her Stevenson Ranch home was in custody today, authorities said.
The crime occurred about 5:15 p.m. Saturday, according to Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Santa Clarita Valley Station.
“During the commission of the robbery, the suspect fired a shot, striking the victim,” Miller said. “The suspect then fled the scene on foot.”
On Sunday, authorities circulated a bulletin describing the wanted man and identifying him as Jeremy Hernandez.
“Detectives were able to use a tip submitted through LA CrimeStoppers to track down (Hernandez)...” Miller said.
Hernandez was arrested Monday night in Lancaster and was being held on $1 million bail, Miller said.
