BURBANK (CNS) - Disney will make Pixar's “Onward” available for customers to buy digitally today, and will also put the film -- the top- grossing film at the box office the last two weeks -- on the company's Disney+ streaming service on April 3.
“While we're looking forward to audiences enjoying our films on the big screen again soon, given the current circumstances, we are pleased to release this fun, adventurous film to digital platforms early for audiences to enjoy from the comfort of their homes,” read a statement from director Dan Scanlon and producer Kori Rae.
The film opened March 6.
It will be available for $19.99 on digital platforms in the United States at 5 p.m. Friday, according to Walt Disney Studios.
