Idris Elba Says He Tested Positive For Coronavirus

Idris Elba has revealed that he has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

In a video message, which was shared on Twitter on Monday (March 16), the actor/DJ, 47, broke the news. "This morning I tested positive for Covid 19," he captioned the clip, which included an appearance from his wife, Sabrina Dhowre Elba. "I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic."

Over in the clip, Elba said that he got tested because he realized he had been exposed to someone who had also tested positive. As of now, his wife has yet to be tested. "This is serious," he emphasized. “Now is the time to really think about social distancing, washing your hands… Transparency is probably the best thing for this right now.”

Elba joins a list of Hollywood stars, who have also tested positive for coronavirus. Among the other names include Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Olga Kurylenko and more.
