A knife-wielding robber got a painful surprise when he tried to hold up a convenience store in Birmingham, England. Surveillance video captured the suspect brandishing a large knife and walking into the store wearing all black with a balaclava covering his face.
He walked up to the worker behind the counter and demanded cash. The cashier refused to hand over the money and instead threw chili powder in the man's face. As the suspect got hit with the large orange cloud, he bolted from the store.
The store owner did not report the matter to the police but released the video to highlight the crime. According to Metro, the shopkeeper keeps the tub of powder underneath the counter for cases just like this.
Police have not commented on the matter because no report was filed.
