Harvey Weinstein Injured in Rikers Island Jail

Disgraced producer and convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein was injured on Sunday at Rikers Island jail after he fell, while he awaits sentencing for committing a criminal sex act in the first degree and a count or rape in the third degree.

According to Weinstein's publicist, Juda Englemayer, Weinstein, 67, was injured after he fell while feeling dizzy.

"Harvey says his head throbs all the time and thinks he has a concussion. He has not been officially diagnosed," Englemayer told CNN.

During his trial, Weinstein was seen using a walker to get in and out of court, however, he does not have access to a walker in jail, Englemayer said.

Following his conviction of sex crimes on Feb 24, he complained of chest pains and was taken by paramedics to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan where doctors inserted a stent. He was moved to the infirmary unit at Rikers Island last week.

Weinstein faces a maximum two decades in prison. He's scheduled to be sentenced on March 11 in New York State Supreme Court.
