A woman spent two years caring for and watering a succulent....only to find out it's fake.
Caelie Wilkes shared the now viral story on Facebook, where she explains the discovery happened after attempting to move the plant into a new vase.
The succulent is made of plastic, resting on Styrofoam with sand glued on top.
The plant was originally a gift from the father of Wilkes' children, who also thought it was real.
She says that when he learned it was fake, he thought the whole thing was hilarious too.
