Average Southland Gas Prices Drop To Lowest Amounts Since Last March

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today to its lowest amount since March 23, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $3.543.

The average price has dropped six of the past seven days, decreasing 2.4 cents, including eight-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 3.6 cents less than one month ago but 18.9 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped 7.2 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price also dropped to its lowest amount since March 23, decreasing one-tenth of a cent to $3.499. It has dropped eight consecutive days, decreasing 2 cents, including three-tenths of a cent on both Monday and Tuesday.

The Orange County average price is 1.9 cents less than one week ago and 2.8 cents lower than one month ago but 19.2 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped 4.6 cents since the start of the year.
