LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today to its lowest amount since March 23, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $3.545.
The average price has dropped five of the past six days, decreasing 2.2 cents, including four-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 2.1 cents less than one week ago and 4 cents lower than one month ago but 19.1 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped 7 cents since the start of the year.
The Orange County average price also dropped to its lowest amount since March 23, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.50. It has dropped seven consecutive days, decreasing 1.9 cents, including three-tenths of a cent on Monday.
The Orange County average price is 3 cents less than one month ago but 19.4 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped 4.5 cents since the start of the year.
