Amy Klobuchar Ends 2020 Presidential Campaign

Presidential Candidate Amy Klobuchar Campaigns In Virginia Ahead Of Super Tuesday

Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar is suspending her presidential campaign and will endorse former Vice President Joe Biden. The decision comes the day before Super Tuesday, when voters in 14 states will head to the polls for the Democratic primary.

Klobuchar will make an official announcement at a rally in Dallas, Texas, with Biden.

Klobuchar's best finish came in New Hampshire, where she wound up in third place and took home six delegates. Her surprise third-place finish gave her campaign some momentum heading into Nevada and South Carolina, but she failed to pick up any delegates and finished with 4.2% and 3.2% of the vote, respectively.

Before dropping out, Klobuchar was in fifth place with seven delegates. She is the third candidate to drop out to race in recent days. Pete Buttigieg and Tom Steyer both dropped out over the weekend after failing to gain any delegates in South Carolina.
