Michael Jordan Delivers Powerful Speech For "Little Brother" Kobe Bryant

Today was the celebration of life for NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his thirteen-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant.

The memorial was chosen for Feb. 24th because of the 2 and 24 represented Kobe and Gianna's basketball numbers.

Vanessa Bryant, Rob Pelinka and Shaquille O’Neal were among those who gave heartfelt tributes to Kobe and Gianna Bryant during their public memorial.

One tribute that stood out the most was from NBA legend and Kobe's hero Michael Jordan.

Bryant looked up to Jordan his whole career and openly called him his inspiration. Being able to play against Jordan was a dream come true for Bryant.

A tearful Jordan led an eleven minute interview filled with memories, admiration, and grief. Jordan ended his tribute with a quote that touched most of the NBA.

"When Kobe Bryant died, a piece of me died. And as I look in this arena and across the globe, a piece of you died or else you wouldn’t be here," Jordan said. "hose are the memories that we have to live with and we learn from. I promise you from this day forward, I will live with the memories that knowing that I had a little brother, that I tried to help in every way I could please rest in piece, little brother."

Fans also noticed Jordan's support for Kobe's family and thanked him for it online.
