Little Change to Southland Gas Prices

Koehler Urges Higher Gas Prices

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped two-tenths of a cent today for the second consecutive day after four consecutive increases totaling 1 cent.

The average price of $3.569 is one-tenth of a cent more than one week ago and 22.7 cents higher than one year ago but 3 cents less than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped 4.6 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price was unchanged for the second consecutive day, remaining at $3.522. It is 1.1 cents more than one week ago and 20.8 cents higher than one year ago but 2.3 cents less than one month ago. It has dropped 2.3 cents since the start of the year.
