#TerrorInTheSkies: To Recline? Or Not To Recline?

It's the age-old debate: To recline? Or not to recline?

The first camp sits on a basic premise. They figure that every single seat can recline all the same, so what does it matter if a person utilizes their one-inch seat recline? Can't the next person just recline their seat, as well? That would still result with each person having the same amount of space.

The second camp stands by the idea of politeness. They argue that reclining your seat, no matter by what amount, impedes the comfort of the person behind you. As they see it, the action is simply rude and self-centered.

It is thanks to this difference of opinions that we are able to bring you this #TerrorInTheSkies!

According to Daily Mail, this incident all went down on an American Airlines flight from New Orleans to Charlotte.

(It is worth noting that this man is in the last row, so he is unable to recline his seat. This may have impacted his reaction, but my guess is that he still would have reacted similarly had he been in any seat on the plane.)

Now, as there are two definitive parties in this debate, you can only imagine the conversation that this tweet sparked.

A bunch of tall guys (they seem to be the ones that hate reclined seats) are lighting Wendi up, telling her how inconsiderate and selfish she is.

Then, on the other side, you have a load of not-as-tall people (and some tall people) explaining that she paid for her seat and all of its capabilities, just like the guy behind her.

So the debate remains.

To recline? Or not to recline?

Where do you land?
