Leaked audio from 2015 has presidential hopeful Michael Bloomberg defending controversial "stop and frisk" policing against minorities while giving a speech for the Aspen Institute, according to TMZ.

Some of comments include, "95% of your murders, murderers and murder victims fit one M.O. You can take the description, Xerox it, and pass it out to cops. They are male minorities 16-25."

He also went on to say that cops are in minority neighborhoods "because that's where all of the crime is." He also said the best way to get guns out of kids' hands is to "throw them up the wall and frisk them."

The recording began circulating on social media after the "Benjamin P. Dixon Show" featured it in a recent episode.

While Bloomberg apologized for supporting "stop and frisk" in 2020, he has yet to comment on the newly leaked audio from 2015.
