A South Carolina woman was able to call for help in an unusual way after crushing both her hands in an auto accident.
The incident occurred over the weekend after the 54-year-old woman stopped to change a flat off the highway.
Apparently while replacing the tire, the jack slipped and her hands were crushed between the tire and the fender, trapping her.
Seeing that no one else was on the road at the time, the woman knew she needed to call for help.
She managed to slip off a shoe and was able to dial 911.
Rescuers came and it was found that she suffered severe damage to both hands and all fingers.
