According to CBS, Westfield's Century City mall has plans to officially unveil a new shelter adoption shop on February 24, 2020.
To make this new shop possible, Los Angeles Animal Services partnered with L.A. Love & Leashes, who both seek to help alleviate overcrowded shelters, while also increasing the opportunities for pets to find forever homes.
So far, L.A. Love & Leashes has helped thousands of shelter animals, but they are still hoping to increase adoption numbers after making their official debut in the mall, which typically has a great deal of traffic on a daily basis.
Until opening day arrives, the public can follow L.A. Love & Leashes on their website and social media pages to see which furry friends are available for adoption or to make a donation for their cause.
