Average L.A. County Gas Price Records Sixth Slight Decrease in Seven Days

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County decreased three-tenths of a cent today to $3.593 one day after rising three-tenths of a cent.

The average price has dropped six of the past seven days, decreasing 1.1 cents, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 4.9 cents less than one month ago but 28.5 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped one-tenth of a cent to $3.539, one day after decreasing three-tenths of a cent. It is 1.1 cents less than one week ago and 1.9 cents lower than one month ago but 26.2 cents more than one year ago.
