Average L.A. County Gas Price Rises After Five Consecutive Slight Decreases

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose three-tenths of a cent today to $3.596 after five consecutive slight decreases.

The average price dropped 1.1 cents over the previous five days, including three-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is six-tenths of cent less than one week ago and 5.1 cents lower than one month ago but 29 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped three-tenths of a cent to $3.54, one day after rising one-tenth of a cent. It is 1 cent less than one week ago and 2 cents lower than one month ago but 26.6 cents more than one year ago.
