Thousands of Star Wars fans, some lining up as early at 2am, were hoping that they would be one of the lucky ones to ride Disneyland's new 'Ride of The Resistance' attraction on opening day.
Well, it only took SIX minutes for tickets to the attraction to sell out...FOR THE ENTIRE DAY.
The new state-of-the-art attraction is already being touted as the world's greatest theme park ride, with many who have experienced it already at Disney's Hollywood Studios (it opened there in December) saying they are astounded at how Disney Imagineers pulled off such extraordinary visual illusions.
Brady MacDonald of the Orange County Register said:
"The entire attraction is a 360-degree scene out of a movie. And you can reach out and touch it all.'
And he says he's not alone. In his article MacDonald notes:
- Slashfilm's Peter Sciretta who described it as 'the most immersive storytelling ride experience ever created.'
- USA Today's Arthur Levine, who said it is 'the most sophisticated and arguably the best, attraction Disney has ever created.'
- Forbes' Seth Porges, who says if you compared it to a pop song, this is 'Bohemian Rhapsody' or 'Stairway To Heaven.'
KFI's own Jo Kwon experienced the ride and joined Gary & Shannon to tell them all about it.
