L.A. & N.Y. SAG-AFTRA Offices Evacuated After Iran-Related Threat

The Screen Actors Guild Headquarters in both New York and Los Angeles were evacuated today after Iran-related threats came to their offices.

According to NYC law enforcement, a call came to the NYC office threatening to blow up offices in NYC and L.A. Law officers in L.A. said the caller was "unhappy with POTUS and the situation in Iran."

“Earlier today, SAG-AFTRA received a telephone threat of an attack targeting our Los Angeles and New York offices. We immediately notified law enforcement and they are on the scene investigating,” a SAG-AFTRA spokesperson said in a statement given to Entertainment Weekly. “At the recommendation of law enforcement we evacuated our employees and at 12:50 p.m. PT made the decision to close our Los Angeles and New York offices for the day so the police can do a thorough sweep.”

LAPD officers swept SAG Headquarters and nothing was found.

The L.A. SAG-AFTRA office is located in the Miracle Mile area near the LA Brea Tar Pits and LACMA. Read the full report on TMZ.
