It's a sad day for the GaS family.

Over the holiday break, Shannon lost a candidate from her presidential fantasy league.

Julian Castro, the former United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development during the Obama administration, formally ended his presidential run a couple days ago leaving Shannon with only three people left.

Castro was the only Latino in the race and ran with many progressive policies.

However, he was never able to get a real footing in the polls and was unable to qualify for the November and December Democratic debates.

He's been almost MIA from the race for months, but was one of the first to criticize the parties unfair presidential nominating process. Finding it wrong that Iowa and New Hampshire get to vote before other states.

Despite us not hearing from him for weeks, he brought himself back in the news today by publicly endorsing Elizabeth Warren's campaign.

Where were you the majority of your campaign Castro?
