Little Change To Southland Gas Prices

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped three-tenths of a cent today to $3.605, resuming its recent trend of decreases after two consecutive slight increases.

The average price decreased for 53 consecutive days in November and December, and is still the lowest it's been since Aug. 30, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The average price is 1.4 cents less than one week ago and 16.4 cents lower than one month ago, but 25.4 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $3.537, one day after increasing two-tenths of a cent to its lowest amount since March 25. The slight increase was the fifth in the past 63 days.

The Orange County average price is 1.1 cents less than one week ago and 15.4 cents lower than one month ago, but 22.8 cents more than one year ago.
