Average Los Angeles County Gas Price Unchanged

Koehler Urges Higher Gas Prices

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged today, remaining at $3.613, after decreasing 56 of the previous 57 days.

The average price dropped 51.6 cents over the previous 57 days, including two-tenths of a cent Wednesday, to its lowest amount since Aug. 30, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It decreased for 53 consecutive days, rose one-tenth of a cent on Sunday, then resumed dropping on Monday.

The average price is 2 cents less than one week ago and 22.2 cents lower than one month ago but 23.4 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price rose two-tenths of a cent to $3.541 after dropping 55 times in 58 days, including six-tenths of a cent on Wednesday. It is six-tenths of a cent less than one week ago and 22.5 cents lower than one month ago but 20.1 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped 54.9 cents over the previous 58 days to its lowest amount since Aug. 26. It decreased for 53 consecutive days, was unchanged Saturday, rose one-tenth of a cent Sunday and two-tenths of a cent on Monday and dropped three-tenths of a cent on Tuesday.
